Rest Day 5 in Erie, PA – A Day by the Lake

You are now eight days from the Atlantic Ocean and Lake Erie is just what you need!  With four rest days and thirty-five riding days behind you it’s time to kick off your (bike) shoes and do something different for a day. How about the beach or a boat ride….OR, a boat ride to the beach? Enjoy yourself in amazing surroundings with great food and the smell of the ocean.  Yes, that’s true, Lake Erie is so big is smells exactly like the ocean.

Presque Isle State Park is a boat ride, or a bike ride away from the hotel.  There’s something refreshing about time spent on the water or feeling sand between your toes.
