Just like that….it is over. Wheels are dipped in the Atlantic Ocean and the journey started at the Pacific Ocean seven weeks ago is complete.
This great group of strangers came together and meshed from day 1. They supported each other. They ate together, laughed together, rode together and changed a few flats together along the way.
At the post ride meal today the group lingered. New friends talked about when they will meet again, where they will ride their bikes together, and the new adventures they will have.
Bikes were packed for shipping this afternoon. Transportation to the airport was arranged. A few riders lived close enough to drive home with family or friends who came to the beach to celebrate this great accomplishment.
After 43 riding days, 5 rest days, and 3400 miles of discovery and adventure, it’s time to rest, recover, and go ride your bike!
