This may have been the nicest cross country tour day yet from the perspective of weather and road conditions…..and we’ve had some very nice days, so that is a very big statement. It seems to just get better and better. Pure luck, and we know it.

It was a day of McDonald’s stops.  We haven’t opened up our Feed Zone previously at McDonald’s place, but found them located at the right places and at the right times. At both of our stops we were greeted by some local folks who were excited for our journey. It is always fun to talk about the tour cross country! We laughed, had a burger, and sat under a huge shade tree during our second stop. When you ride cross country you can eat just about anything you want because it all burns off. Bonus!

Marysville, Ohio, is a small historic town.  As many of the towns we’ve been able to pass through, there are big, unique buildings in the old downtown areas that have been rejuvenated to attract both local business and visitors.

Today was the day when the climbing started to increase and there is much more climbing in front of us we continue moving forward through Ohio, PA, NY and MA. The riders are now very well trained and ready for it.
