Today was a very corny cross country bike tour day.

Corn fields every where you look.  There’s even a corn field outside my window as I write.

In contrast to previous days, we are now in the land of little towns along the road.  It’s very nice because it gives everyone a chance to stop as they need to and grab a snack or a cold drink.

Casey's - a great place to stop and take a break!

Out in the country there is a lot of decorating that you see by the road.  It’s very refreshing to find these treasures where you would least expect them, and a wonderful diversion from the many signs and bill boards that usually crowd our view.

Most small towns are known for something special.  For instance, we saw the world’s largest pecan in Brunswick when we pedaled through earlier today. As always, Steve was a very good sport and posed for a picture. Thank you Steve.

Tomorrow we’re heading out on the road again towards Hannibal, Missouri on the Mississippi River.  It’s a night off with no tour obligations.  A good time to roam the streets and relax, or take a river boat cruise.  Oh, and there’s a wonderful brewery with a big deck over looking the river…and great food!
