Short day today, with a tailwind again.  Oh, my!

That’s a big horse!

After sleeping in and leaving the hotel at 9:00AM, the first stop on our continuing cross country bike tour was at a huge horse on the side of the road.  It actually looks like you could ride it with a boost up, but we resisted that urge and just took a picture.

Next on the agenda, a stop in Hooker, OK.  Who could resist stopping for a picture on the Hooker town sign – no one!  But first, strawberries dipped in chocolate were on the Feed Zone menu.  Yum….

Yes, there really is a town in OK named Hooker.

How do you top a visit to Hooker, Oklahoma?  Easy, you keep on riding until you reach Kansas.

Today was Tour Tune-up Day.

Time for a tune-up!

After arriving at our hotel in Liberal, KS, Steve tuned-up the rider’s bikes.  A well tuned bike is usually faster and more fun to ride.  With the favorable winds the past few days, tomorrow should be quite a day.  But then, everyday is quite a day when you’re on a cross country bike tour.
