Let’s ride to Las Vegas!

Thunder is rolling above our Las Vegas Hotel.  A few rain drops were felt just as the riders arrived, but….I was told this was the best cross country tour day ever. Happy riders with big smiles on their faces here in Las Vegas, New Mexico, at the Historic Plaza Hotel.  What could be better after a magical day of cycling than a stay at this fabulous old hotel.  Historic Plaza Hotel.

This morning, after we opened up the Feed Zone for the first time, Steve joined the guys on his bike. Our second stop was at Pecos River Station where we found shade and a picnic table.  Very nice spot!

Tonight it’s dinner in the hotel’s dining room for a relaxing meal before a good night of restful sleep.  Tomorrow is a very big day – 109 miles to Tucumcari, NM. We will leave early and look forward to another great day on the bike as we continue our cross country journey.
