Crossing the desert by bicycle is a huge accomplishment! The days are long, hot and they can be windy. Today we had all of that, but the big smiles, good humor and grand sense of “we are all in this together” prevailed. This tour group is bonded with the common goal of mutual respect and adventure.

Crossing over the first state line into Arizona gave everyone the opportunity to take a picture before moving forward to the Hwy rest stop to top-off water bottles. It was a 10 bottle day, with 3 SAGS and a few stops in between.

Tonight in Wickenburg, AZ, the hotel is quiet. Tomorrow we climb!
