An amazing group of cyclists dipped their wheels this morning at Manhattan Beach Pier in the Pacific Ocean just before beginning the journey of a life time.  Over the next seven weeks they will ride 3,400 miles together from coast to coast, eventually dipping their wheels in the Atlantic Ocean.  In the middle, over the miles, friendships will form that will last a life time, and the stories that write themselves will be remembered and recounted time and again.

Heading for Boston!

Although the morning was overcast and a bit chilly, spirits soared and smiles were abundant.  Heading towards Riverside in the afternoon, the sky did begin to clear as we look forward to sunshine in the morning.  After a good dinner, it’s off to bed.  Tomorrow is another ride day.
